Who I Serve
I provide evidence-based, integrative mental health care to individuals who live in North Carolina and Utah. I assist adults of all ages and specialize in providing therapy for chronic pain and illness, trauma, and anxiety. I also help people with family of origin issues, identity development, relationship/attachment issues, and finding meaning in life. I especially enjoy supporting clients who have centralized pain syndromes (e.g., fibromyalgia) and/or autoimmune diseases (e.g., lupus, RA, MS) alongside histories of trauma.
My Approach
I use a systems-based framework to understand what you bring to therapy. This means learning about you as an individual, as well as the larger contexts that shape your life. My approach is collaborative and deliberate, with an emphasis on compassion and respect for your innate wisdom. I most frequently use Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Somatic IFS, and mindfulness-based modalities. I am also trained as a neuroscientist and frequently apply this training to my work with clients.
